Building Bridges in Ruby: Rubyness to Present Baltic Ruby Conference at Rails World

We’ve got big news: Rubyness is heading to Amsterdam for Rails World 2025 on September 4–5 – and we’re bringing something exciting with us: the Baltic Ruby Conference.

For us, this isn’t just another trip. Rails World is the place where the Ruby on Rails community gathers. It’s a yearly opportunity for developers, maintainers, companies, and community leaders from around the world to meet in one place, share knowledge, and talk about where Ruby is heading next. And this year, we’re proud to say that Rubyness will be part of it.

Why Rails World Matters to Us

Rails has always been more than just a framework – it’s a community. Rails World reflects that spirit: it’s where new ideas are born, collaborations take shape, and the future of Rails is shaped through conversations and shared experiences.

For Rubyness, being at Rails World is about more than attending talks (though we’re excited for those too!). It’s about connecting with like-minded people, showing what we’ve been working on, and introducing a new project we’re passionate about: Baltic Ruby.

Meet Baltic Ruby

So, what exactly is Baltic Ruby?

It’s our vision of a new international Ruby conference in the Baltic region – a gathering that blends deep technical talks with the warmth and openness of the Ruby community. We want to create a space where developers can come together, learn from each other, and enjoy everything that makes this community so unique.

Here’s what makes Baltic Ruby special:

  • International focus – we’re bringing Rubyists from all over the world to one of Europe’s most vibrant regions.
  • High-quality content – inspiring talks, workshops, and discussions with experts who live and breathe Ruby.
  • Community spirit – just like Ruby itself, Baltic Ruby is built on collaboration, inclusivity, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Cultural flavor – because conferences are also about the places they happen, we’ll showcase the beauty and culture of the Baltic region.

In short: Baltic Ruby is not just another conference – it’s a celebration of Ruby and the people who make it special.

Why Announce at Rails World?

Rails World is where the Ruby community comes together, so it feels like the natural place to share our project with the world. By bringing Baltic Ruby to Amsterdam, we want to start conversations, gather feedback, and invite people to join us on this journey.

We see Baltic Ruby as a way to give back to the community that has inspired us for years. And what better place to announce it than at the biggest Rails event of the year?

Let’s Meet in Amsterdam
